~richielynn's review of Roku customer service

GetHuman: So how would you sum up your experience for GetHuman's Roku customer community? We'll censor any IDs, numbers, or codes and any inappropriate words here out of respect to the millions of other customers using this resource.
~richielynn: You can expect many electronics to break. As a consumer (lifeline of all companies), positive and productive customer service for customers needing assistance with a defective device is a must. For ROKU, none of these exist. The corporate office is stated to be in Saratoga, CA. But ALL calls are routed to India or The Phillipines call centers. They ask you the same exact questions over & over even after explaining your problem several times. They put you on hold then return, put you on hold again-- repeat repeat repeat. There is no recourse for management level customer advocacy. I have five (*) ROKU's in my home. My advice* DO NOT BUY A ROKU as you will be as sorry as I am.
GetHuman: Let's quantify your experience contacting Roku. On a scale of 1 to 5, how easy is it go get help on a Roku problem?
~richielynn: I'd give them a two out of five for ease of finding your way to help.
GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
~richielynn: I'd give them a one out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about Roku's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
~richielynn: For that I would say two out of five.
GetHuman: And finally- any advice for other Roku customers?
~richielynn: Call them early in the day or late. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for Roku to know who you are.
GetHuman: Well there you have it. Some useful feedback and words from ~richielynn taken from his Roku customer service problem that occurred on November 23rd, 2017.
