~omnivor: Online site would not take my info so called. Guy was surprised that I hadn't been transferred by someone else but was OK. He then transferred me to "Tech Services" which failed and I was sent to sales which, again, gave me the "All customers service busy...etc.". When I just sat there, someone came on line and but back in some kind of waiting, then I was transferred to wrong department, then - after some discussion - was transferred to the right one who got the fix underway. BTW, their records say that I bought it one month but they actually shipped it * months later. Sorry about the extended description...wrote it waiting for their people to pick up. Bottom line is that they seem willing but whoever designed their 'front end' customer contact system needs help.
GetHuman: Let's quantify your experience contacting Sony. On a scale of 1 to 5, how easy is it go get help on a Sony problem?
~omnivor: I'd give them a two out of five for ease of finding your way to help.
GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
~omnivor: I'd give them a three out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about Sony's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
~omnivor: For that I would say four out of five.
GetHuman: And finally- any advice for other Sony customers?
~omnivor: Call them early in the day or late. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for Sony to know who you are.
