GetHuman-246128: Got the service * years ago when they were first starting up. It never worked, we had it in my mom's apt while she was terminally ill and everyone in family needed to work from there while taking shifts. After * different modems and * visits from what seemed to be high school kids working there to "troubleshoot," we canceled. Mom passed away shortly thereafter. The bill was in my name. I never, ever got any kind of notice online or in the mail (they do online billing and my email has not changed) for any kind of unpaid balance or anything. Two years later, I get a nasty phonecall from a collection service because apparently we didn't return one of the useless modems they gave us. I have no idea what happened to the modem, but I would have gladly paid for it had I been notified. Instead, I get Ninja-bill-collector guy, who threatens me with the dreaded "your credit will be affected!!!" line, I am confused as to what is up, call USI and they just say, "Oh we're sorry it went to collectio
